Motorcyclist seriously injured in Bournemouth crash

A motorcyclist in his 20s has suffered serious injuries in a collision with a car in Bournemouth.

A grey Honda bike and a silver Citroen C2 were involved in the crash at around 10.40pm last night (Tuesday 4th October) on Christchurch Road, at the junction with Queensland Road.

The driver of the Citroen, a local man in his 40s, wasn't hurt.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and released on bail while enquiries continue.

Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the traffic unit, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling along that section of Christchurch Road at the relevant time and either witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to please contact Dorset Police.

“I would also like to ask anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.”
