Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in Poole crash

A collision involved a bike and two cars on Wallisdown Road

A motorcyclist has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a three vehicle crash in Poole.

A black Kawasaki motorbike, white Ford Fiesta and a brown Land Rover Defender were involved in a crash at Wallisdown Road at around 11.20am today (Thursday 15th May).

The rider, a man in his 50s, has been taken to hospital and his family informed.

The road itself remains closed this evening, while police investigations are carried out.

Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

“In particular, I am keen to speak to a pedestrian who was believed to be crossing at the pedestrian crossing near to the junction with Canford Avenue on Wallisdown Road at the time of the collision.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the vicinity to please review any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
