Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following Bovington crash

The rider was involved in a collision with a car near Clouds Hill

A man's suffered serious injuries and been airlifted to hospital following a crash near Bovington.

A green BMW motorcycle and a white Toyota Hilux were involved, near to Clouds Hill, at around 11.40am yesterday (Wednesday 24th May).

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s from Weymouth, is being treated, and his family are aware.

The Toyota driver wasn't hurt.

Police Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the Roads Policing Team, said:

“An investigation is underway and we are appealing for any witnesses, including any Ministry of Defence (MOD) personnel who were working in the area and may have seen what happened, to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone that may have captured the incident, or moments leading up to it, on dashcam footage.”
