Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash with lorry on Portland
Police were called to New Road at 6.36am this morning
A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision involving a lorry this morning on Portland.
Police say the accident on New Road was reported to them just after 6.30am.
There is no update yet on the male rider's condition.
The road was closed for around 2 hours.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
"We received a report at 6.36am of a collision involving a motorbike and a lorry in New Road on Portland. Officers attended, along with the ambulance service. The male motorcyclist has been taken to hospital.
"The fire service and local authority were contacted due to fuel on the road.
"The motorbike was recovered and the road reopened at around 8.45am."
