Motorbike stolen from outside Christchurch home

The BMW model was taken from Hillside Drive and later recovered

A motorbike's been stolen from outside a Christchurch home, with police asking anyone with information to contact them.

The white BMW K1600 GT model was taken by two men from the Hillside Drive area between 8.40 and 9.00pm on Friday 1st March.

The bike was later recovered by police in Ringwood Road in St Leonards.

Descriptions of the offenders have now been released by officers.

The first is said to have been wearing dark clothing and a head and face covering.

The second is described as being 'shorter and stouter' and also wearing a head and face covering, with a bright green ribbed jacket and shoulder bag.

PC Nicholas Burridge, of Bournemouth police, said:

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge anyone with information about those responsible to please contact us.

“I would ask residents to please check their doorbell and home security cameras to see if they have captured anything of relevance.

“Also, I would ask any motorists who were driving in the area around the time of the incident to please check their dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
