Man makes 'threats to kill' woman in Weymouth

Dorset Police are investigating it as a public order incident

A woman's allegedly had her belongings thrown out of a car, and threats made towards her during an incident in Weymouth.

We're told it happened at around 3.25am on Sunday 27th March on Great George Street.

It's believed a man was verbally abusive to the victim, before she ran away to seek help.

A mobile phone was damaged in the incident, with a handbag and rucksack stolen.

The man and woman involved are known to each other, but there's a police appeal for more information into what happened.

PC Kam Mander, of Dorset Police, said:

“This offence occurred in the early hours of the morning when the clocks had moved forward, and I know there were a number of people in Great George Street at the time who may have witnessed all or part of the incident. I would ask these people to please contact Dorset Police so we can take an account of what they witnessed.”
