A man in his 20s has been hospitalised after being stabbed in Boscombe Gardens on 18th December.

Police were called at 9.42pm to Drummond Road, where the victim was found with injuries following the attack that reportedly occurred a short time earlier.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Detective Inspector Jon Sainsbury, of BCP CID, said investigations to uncover what happened and to identify the offender are ongoing.

“I understand there were a number of people around at the time and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that may help our enquiries, to please come forward," he said.

DI Sainsbury added that officers will be maintaining an increased presence in the area, and encouraged anyone with concerns to speak directly with them.

A cordon was put in place to allow the police to carry out detailed investigations of the scene.
