Dorset Police are working to identify the man pictured as they investigate an incident involving a parking enforcement officer at around 12.00pm midday on Monday 7th December.

The warden was issuing a ticket to a red Vauxhall parked on double yellows.

They were approached by a man who swore at the enforcement officer, questioning why he was being given a ticket, before becoming threatening and abusive.

The man also verbally abused a male member of the public.

Once he was told police were going to be contacted, the man left the area.

The incident happened next to Wilko on Westham Road

PC Sian Maynard, of Dorset Police, said:

"We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have made efforts to identify the man involved through the vehicle registration but these have proved unsuccessful.

"I am now issuing an image of the man and would ask anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.

"I appreciate the image is not the best quality but he has distinctive clothing on and I am hoping someone will be able to recognise him."
