Man seriously injured in A354 crash

It happened at the Thickthorn Cross junction

A man's been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the A354 in North Dorset.

The local man in his 40s was taken to Southampton General Hospital after the crash at the Thickthorn Cross junction yesterday afternoon (Monday 6th June) at around 4.10pm.

His injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening or life changing though.

The man was driving a red Volkswagen Golf which was involved in a collision with a white Peugeot 2008.

The Peugeot driver was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.

There's now an appeal for any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch with Dorset Police.

PC Kier Dagnall, of the traffic unit, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and witnessed the collision, or manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the incident, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge any motorists who have a dashcam fitted in their vehicles to please check for any relevant footage to help my enquiries.”
