A man's been taken to hospital with a broken jaw and lacerations to his head, after reportedly being assaulted in Weymouth.
Dorset Police received a report at around 8.45pm on Wednesday (3 August) of a disturbance at an address in Dorset Close. It was reported that a man had been struck over the head with a bottle inside the property and then thrown over some railings outside.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers attended the scene and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Police Appeal
Detective Constable Neil Hooker, from Weymouth CID, said: “We are investigating this incident and I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also urge residents in the area with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please check their footage from around the relevant time to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
