Man suffers leg injuries in fail-to-stop collision in Poole

Dorset Police are now trying to locate the car and driver involved

A man in his 40s has suffered leg injuries after being struck by a car that failed to stop in Poole.

The victim was on a zebra crossing near to Aldi on Pitwines Close when the collision happened at around 3.15pm on Monday (22nd May).

A silver Toyota Yaris is believed to be involved, and didn't stop at the scene.

The man needed hospital treatment for his injuries.

PC Joseph McKee, of Poole police, said:

“I am carrying out enquiries to locate the vehicle involved and would ask anyone with information to help my investigation to please come forward.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened.

“Also, if you were driving in the vicinity and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, I would ask you to please check for any relevant footage.”
