The victim, in his 50s, was involved in a collision with a silver Jaguar X-Type on Christchurch Road in Pokesdown, near the junction with Parkwood Road, on Friday lunchtime (6th December).

A 48 year old man from East Dorset has since been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

He's been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Dorset Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact officers.

PC David Carmichael, of Bournemouth police, said:

“I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time who would have seen what happened and I am appealing to them to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
