Man in his 80s hospitalised after Corfe Mullen crash

A man in his eighties is in hospital with a serious leg injury after a crash in Corfe Mullen.

Emergency services were called to Wareham Road on Saturday afternoon after a motorbike and a pedestrian collided near the roundabout with Springdale Road.

The rider, a man in his sixties, was also taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who might have dashcam footage, to get in touch.

Dorset Police say they received a report at 3.55pm on Saturday 8 November 2025 of a collision involving a dark blue Yamaha motorcycle and a pedestrian on Wareham Road, near to the roundabout at the junction with Springdale Road.

Police Constable Mike Wells, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed it and has not spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I am particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a silver Ford Focus, possibly around a 2008 model, that was seen travelling behind the motorcyclist on Springdale Road around the time of the collision. I am keen to speak to them as witnesses as they may have seen what happened.

“I would also like to hear from any motorist who were in the vicinity and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
