Man hurt in serious collision in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward

A man's been seriously injured after being knocked down by a car in Poole.

The incident involved a silver Vauxhall Ampera Electron and happened just before 7am this morning on Lyndsay Road.

The man in his 60's is being treated in hospital - police say his injuries aren't life-threatening or life-changing.

Police are now appealing for witnesses with dashcam footage

Police Sergeant Mark Burton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish what happened and I am keen to speak to any witnesses.

“Also, if you were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please contact Dorset Police.
