A man's been treated in hospital for facial injuries after an attack at Bournemouth.

Dorset Police say he was assaulted by a group of four unknown men at Gervis Road on Tuesday 12th August at 10.10pm.

Officers on patrol nearby attended the incident and are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who has information about it to get in touch.

Constable Michael Wells said, "We are continuing to investigate this incident to understand the full circumstances of what occurred.

"We know there were a number of people in the area that night who may have seen what happened, and so we would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us.

"We are particularly keen to hear from a teenage girl we understand had an interaction with the victim prior to the assault."

No arrests have yet been made.
