Man from Bournemouth arrested over suspected drug dealing in north Hampshire

A man from Bournemouth has been arrested in connection with suspected drug dealing in north Hampshire.

Hampshire Police stopped a car in Yateley early yesterday morning (Wednesday 2nd July 2025) - and found cash and Class As hidden in a sock.

A 25 year old detained at the time has been released on bail.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

"Officers spotted suspicious activity linked to a Ford Focus in Fleet at around 12.15am yesterday (1 July).

"The car was later stopped on the A30 in Yateley, and due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, a search was carried out.

"Officers located £675 in cash and a black sock which contained eight bags of suspected Class A drugs. All items were seized.

"A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and possessing a controlled drug of Class A.

"He was also arrested on suspicion of driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.

"The man has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries."
