Man found with stab wounds in Bournemouth

His injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening

A man's been taken to hospital with stab wounds after being attacked in Bournemouth.

Police cordoned off part of Millhams Road, near to St Andrew's Church, after the incident at just after 1.00pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 20th May).

They say the victim is in his 30s and his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

A 35-year-old man from Bournemouth has been questioned on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed.

Detective Constable Matthew Putt, of BCP CID, said:

“A full investigation into this matter is underway, led by detectives from BCP CID, and a cordon was put in place at the scene.

“Following initial enquiries, it is believed that the victim and the arrested man are known to each other.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please get in touch.

“In particular, I understand there may have been a number of vehicles in a car park at the rear of the church at the time of the incident and I would ask any motorists with information to help my investigation to please contact Dorset Police.

“There will be an increased policing presence in the vicinity and officers can be approached by members of the public with information or concerns.”
