Man found with serious head injury on Weymouth seafront

Dorset Police is now investigating what happened to the victim

A man's been found with a serious head injury on Weymouth seafront, with police now trying to work out what happened.

Officers were called by the ambulance service just after 3.20am on Saturday (7th October) after the man was discovered on The Esplanade, near Marks and Spencer.

The victim, in his 50s, needed hospital treatment for his injuries.

Police Constable Josh Manning, of Weymouth police, said:

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident as we seek to establish how the man sustained his injuries and whether there was any third party involvement.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has any information that might assist our enquiries, to please contact us.”
