Man dies after being pulled out of Wareham's Quay

A man's died after being pulled from the river at The Quay in Wareham.

Emergency services were sent there just before 7.00pm last night (Sunday 27th November).

In a statement, Dorset Police said:

"Dorset Police received a report at 6.53pm on Sunday 27th November 2022 raising concern for the welfare of a man in the river at The Quay in Wareham.

"Officers attended with the fire and ambulance services. Very sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious."

Police have also confirmed that they're still trying to locate the man's next of kin.

Dorset's coroner has been notified.
