Man dies in Badbury Rings collision

It's believed the car left Blandford Road early this morning (21st February).

A man in his 20s has died following a single vehicle collision on the B3082 Blandford Road near Badbury Rings.

The crash happened at around 7.35am today (Monday 21st February), involving a silver Subaru.

The driver of that car passed away at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.

A road closure remains in place this afternoon while investigations are carried out.

Sergeant Mark Scammell, of Dorset Police's traffic unit, said:

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly died in this collision.

“An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would urge any witnesses to please get in touch.

“I would also ask motorists who were travelling along Blandford Road to please check their dashcam for any footage to assist my enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closures are in place. This allows the emergency services to safely respond to the incident.”
