Police who released an image after two connected assaults in Wimborne say a man has now come forward.

A confrontation took place outside the Co-Op in Crown Mead, back in April, involving a man and a group of teenagers.

One of the teenage girls was reportedly assaulted by the man during the incident. It is also alleged that a witness was pushed by the same man when she challenged him inside the store.

Neither victim sustained any physical injuries.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Following an image appeal, a man has now come forward and is assisting officers with the investigation.

"No arrests have been made."
