A man in his 40s and a 12 year old child have been injured in an assault outside a Bournemouth school.

Two school pupils were involved in an altercation at Oak Academy in Duck Lane at around 3.00pm last Friday (19th April).

A man intervened and was hit from behind, before being repeatedly kicked while he was on the ground, by another man.

The victim, and a child, went to hospital for minor injuries.

PC Emily Dilke, of Bournemouth police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this assault and establish the full circumstances of how it happened.

“We know that it occurred during a busy time of the day with many members of the public present, and we are keen for anyone who witnessed what happened who hasn’t already spoken to police to please come forward.”
