Man charged following sexual assault on Dorset bus

The incident happened on a service between Poole and Blandford

A man's been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault and affray on a bus in Dorset.

It's reported a man approached people who were waiting for a service at Poole bus station at around 3.50pm last Tuesday (15th August) and kissed a woman on the cheek.

When passengers then boarded the X8 towards Blandford, the man is believed to have become verbally abusive towards people on the bus.

A 27 year old man from Shaftesbury was arrested by Dorset Police and charged with affray and sexual assault.

PC Erin Kinghorn, of Dorset Police, said:

“There would have been a number of other people in the area at the bus station, as well as travelling on the bus to Blandford.

“I am appealing to anyone with information, or who was affected by the incident, to please get in touch.”
