A teenager from Weymouth's due before magistrates later charged with murder.

19 year old Joe Michael Williams is accused of killing Daniel Mark Hrycyszyn at the Hotel Central on Maiden Street.

Emergency services were called there just after 11pm on Saturday night (30th December) and the victim, who was 35, was pronounced dead at the scene just over an hour later.

Five men were arrested in connection with the incident and four have been released without charge.

DI Mark Jenkins from Dorset Police MCIT said, "Our thoughts remain very much with Daniel's family at this extremely difficult time.

"We have carried out extensive enquiries into this incident and have liaised with the Crown Prosecution Service, which has authorised a charge of murder against Joe Michael Williams.

"As this case will now be the subject of active court proceedings, it would not be appropriate for us to comment any further at this time as we must ensure that the justice system is allowed to follow its course.

"It is also important to stress that there should be no further commentary or sharing of information online or on social media that could potentially prejudice these court proceedings."
