Man charged following 'disturbance' in Bournemouth

Two men needed hospital treatment after an incident on Old Christchurch Road

A man from Poole has been arrested and charged with attempted wounding with intent and possession of a knife.

It's after an argument broke out between him and another man on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth last Sunday morning (9th April) at around 9.15am.

One of the men left the scene in a silver Kia Picanto after the incident.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment afterwards.

A 28 year old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of assaulted and released on bail.

A 34 year old man from Poole is due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on May 11th, charged with attempted wounding with intent and possession of a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place.

Detective Sergeant Chris Bradford, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“I believe that there were numerous members of the public present and some of which filmed the incident.

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to please contact us as this could assist our investigation.”
