Man charged after alleged assault in Boscombe

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing

A man has been charged and is due to appear in court following an alleged assault in Boscombe.

Dorset Police say they received a report at 9.42pm on Thursday 18 December 2025 that a man was located with injuries in Drummond Road.

They add about further reports, in which the man had sustained a stab wound a short time before in Boscombe Gardens.

The victim – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Following enquiries, a 19-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested.

He has subsequently been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24 December 2025.
