Man left with broken jaw after attack near kebab shop in Wimborne
He was attacked by three young men
A man has suffered a broken jaw after being attacked after leaving a kebab shop in Wimborne.
The incident happened in the very early hours – probably between 1am and 2am – of Saturday (16 December), but was reported to police later that day at around midday.
The victim, a man in his 40s and from Ferndown, was walking away from the kebab shop in Crown Mead when he was followed by three young men. At the point when he reached High Street on the corner of the square close to Café Aroma an altercation took place. The victim fell to the ground and was then kicked in the head by the group.
The victim later attended hospital to receive treatment as he had suffered a broken jaw.
The offenders are described as white and in their early 20s. One of them was wearing a brightly coloured hooded top with writing on it. The second person was wearing a green hooded top and the third man was possibly wearing something grey.
Detective Constable Neil Hooker, of Dorset Police CID, said: “I believe several members of the public came to help the victim and I am appealing for them to please come forward as they may have information that could help our investigation.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone else who may be able to identify the offenders or was at the location and witnessed what happened.
“Anyone who has dashcam fitted or anyone with CCTV in the area is urged to check whether they may have captured anything of relevance.”
