Man arrested following Weymouth criminal damage reports

A boat had been targeted in an incident in the harbour

Dorset Police received a report on the morning of Monday 26th October that a boat had its windscreen damaged by a bottle.

Enquiries found that the incident actually happened at around 11.30pm on Friday 23rd October.

The damage caused cost around £2,000 to repair.

Further investigation and a CCTV appeal followed and now it's been confirmed a 42 year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an article with intent to destroy or damage property.

He's since been released under investigation.

Dorset Police have thanked those who shared or responded to the appeal.
