Man arrested in connection to reported Weymouth assault released without charge
The incident happened in September
A man arrested in connection with a reported assault on a woman in Weymouth town centre has been released without charge.
At 11pm on Friday 24 September 2021 Dorset Police received reports that a woman had been assaulted in the area of Alexandra Gardens.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
A Spokesperson from Dorset Police said:
"A 27-year-old man of no fixed abode, who was known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and subsequently released on police bail.
"Following further enquiries, he has now been released from police bail without charge.
"Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
