Man arrested in connection with burglary in Weymouth

A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary in Weymouth.

Dorset Police say it follows the theft of jewellery and electrical items from an address in Stanley Street.

A 50-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"It was reported that between 8pm on Friday 13 May and 1am on Saturday 14 May 2022 a burglary occurred at an address in Stanley Street. Items of jewellery were allegedly stolen from the property, as well as an Amazon Kindle and a Phillips beard trimmer.

"Following enquiries by officers, a 50-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
