Man arrested following assault in Bournemouth

The incident left a man with a laceration to his hand

A man's been arrested on suspicion of as assault in Bournemouth - with police now asking any witnesses to get in touch with them.

A 32 year old local man's been questioned by detectives.

The alleged incident happened at around 7.50pm on Sunday night (21st August) on Southcote Road.

A man's believed to have assaulted another male.

The victim, who's in his 50s and from Bournemouth, had to be taken to hospital for treatment to a hand injury.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Staples, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“It was still daylight at the time of the incident and I am hoping that somebody may have witnessed what exactly happened.

“I am appealing for anyone with information to please contact us as this could assist my investigation.”
