Man found injured following Weymouth assault

It's believed he'd been attacked outside Snookes bar in Caroline Place

A man's been found with an arm injury at a Weymouth taxi rank, after allegedly being assaulted in the town centre.

The victim in his 20s was spotted in Westham Road at around 11.10pm on Saturday (29th June).

He told police he'd been attacked by a man known to him outside Snookes bar in Caroline Place.

PC Chloe Seaward, of Weymouth and Portland police, said:

“We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I understand there were a number of other people in the area at the time of the assault and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.

“Finally, I would like to hear from anyone who has captured any relevant footage, either on dashcam or home CCTV.”
