Man ordered to appear in court after fatal crash in Sixpenny Handley

The incident claimed the life of a Hampshire woman

A 37 year old man is due to appear in court this week in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that happened in Sixpenny Handley.

The local man has been issued with a postal requisition after the incident on Saturday 1st February 2020.

About 300 metres south of the Sixpenny Handley roundabout three vehicles were involved in a crash; a VW Up BlueMotion, an Audi A3 and an Isuzu Pick-up.

The driver of the VW, a 37 year old woman from Ringwood, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

She sadly died a week later on the morning of Friday 7th February.

Meanwhile, the male passenger in the same car sustained serious injuries and the Audi occupants one adult and two children, had minor injuries.

The male driver of the Isuzu, ordered to court, also sustained minor injuries.

The 37 year old man is due at Poole Magistrates on Thursday (8th July) to face an offence of causing death by driving without due care or consideration while over specified controlled drug limit.
