Lorry crashes into house in West Dorset

The driver failed to stop at the scene

Police are looking for the driver of a lorry that crashed into a house in West Dorset and left the scene.

Dorset Police have just released details of the incident which is reported to have happened at around 8am on Monday (8 February).

A lorry collided with a house in Parsons Lane in Askerswell, causing damage to the roof of the property. It was reported that the lorry failed to stop.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Police Constable Maddie Barber, of Dorset Police, said:

"We are carrying out enquiries to identify the lorry involved in this collision and I would urge anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area on the morning of Monday 8 February and may have captured anything relevant on dashcam."
