Investigation closed into reported sexual assault on Weymouth Beach
A man arrested has been released without charge
A man arrested in connection with a reported sexual assault on Weymouth Beach has been released without charge.
Dorset Police say the incident happened at around 12.50am on Sunday 13 June 2021.
It was reported that the victim, a local woman aged in her 30s, was kissed and touched inappropriately by a man when they went for a walk along the beach.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
"A 43-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted rape and was released on police bail. Following further enquiries by detectives, he has now been released from police bail without charge.
"The investigation into this incident has now concluded."
