Independent shop named in the top 100 small UK businesses
Fantastic Things in Bournemouth will be highlighted in the SmallBiz100 line-up.
An independent shop based in Bournemouth and Christchurch will be celebrated in Small Business Saturday’s national campaign.
Fantastic Things, situated in The Arcade off Old Christchurch Road, sells everything from jewellery to collectables: cosmetics to small gifts.
Founded in June 2021 with the ethos, “all your shopping, under one roof,” it’s now an opportunity to give small, independent businesses a larger retail space to trade.
The business began with 29 traders and has since grown to house products from more than 150 different small businesses, individual crafters, artists, collectors, fashionistas, haberdashers, candle makers and the list is endless.
Reportedly, between one to two thousand people visit the flagship Christchurch store every day and that can hit heights of 3,000 over Christmas.
Following this success, Fantastic Things has now been named in the top 100 small UK businesses.
The SmallBiz100 line-up showcases some the ‘most inspiring’ independent businesses from across the nation in a bid to encourage consumers to ‘shop local’.
Small Business Saturday returns on December 2 and Fantastic Things will be celebrated on September 12.
