A man has allegedly indecently exposed himself to members of the public at Weymouth Beach.

Dorset Police tell us this happened between 3.00pm and 3.45pm last Thursday afternoon (4th August).

When the man was challenged, he also became verbally abusive.

A 42 year old man from Yeovil has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and released under investigation.

Officers are now asking anyone who was on the beach that afternoon, and might have information, to get in touch with them.

PC Bryce Scott-Jones, of Weymouth police, said:

“I understand there were a number of people on the beach at the time and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.”
