A man's alleged to have indecently exposed himself, in what's been called a 'distressing incident' in Lyme Regis.

A group of teenage girls noticed what happened at around 5.30pm on the August Bank Holiday Monday (26th August).

They reported it to the lifeguards nearby and they challenged a man who left the area.

There's now an image that's been shared by police, as they continue investigations.

PC Jamie Randell, of West Dorset police, said:

“This must have been a distressing incident for the girls and our investigation is ongoing as we try to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“As part of my enquiries, I am now issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”

If you can help with any information, or can help to identify the man pictured, you're asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55240131718.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
