Increase in Covid-19 hospital admissions in Dorset

Overall the county has seen a decrease in cases

Dorset has seen a rise in the number of people being admitted to hospital with Covid-19.

The amount of people in hospital with Coronavirus this week has increased to 36 compared with 27 last week.

Case rates are highest amongst younger people in Dorset, but we are seeing a decrease in all age groups.

7 day case rates per 100,000 since 16th July, BCP: 466.2 and Dorset: 256.0

Public Health Dorset say these figures do not include data from lifting of restrictions on July 19th.

Public Health Dorset are encouraging us to get our second does of the vaccine, continue to get tested to check we're not were not infectious and self-isolate if you have symptoms, test positive or are identified as a close contact.
