Ideas needed for new Mural Trail planned for Weymouth
Weymouth Town Council want your help
There is a new Mural Trail coming to Weymouth to show case all the artworks inspired by local history and culture.
In a partnership with We Are Weymouth, Weymouth Town Council are producing the trail in and around the town.
They want to hear from you to help them design the artworks. Your memories, stories and ideas will help inform and shape the artist’s designs.
This will bring an accessible, free walking trail that will promote the cultural development of Weymouth, providing physical and mental well-being and enjoyment to all. It will also encourage people to explore the town helping to increase footfall and economic benefit for local businesses following the pandemic.
The Council and We Are Weymouth want to make sure that they get the right subject matter and design for the murals and deliver something that the public will appreciate, enjoy, and have a sense of pride over having in their town.
Your ideas will need to have a link to Weymouth and be family friendly. This could include Weymouth history and heritage, links to the sea and seaside, the environment and landscape, local wildlife, etc.
Do you have any ideas or history that links to one of the proposed mural locations?
