Over 100 homes given approval for Shaftesbury
The development will go on land south of the A30
Plans for 107 new homes in Shaftesbury have been unanimously approved by Dorset Council.
The development, on land south of the A30, will also eventually include a care home, hotel and primary school.
Persimmon Homes say the one to four bedroom properties are aimed at young families and first time buyers.
3\2 of the homes will be transferred to a housing association for shared ownership or affordable rent.

“These 107 new homes will make an important contribution to meeting the local housing needs of the area and we’re looking forward to starting work on site right away.”
Planning applications for the primary school, hotel and care home are yet to be submitted.
Persimmon say they'll also invest almost £700,000 into health services and local schools.
The development will support almost 200 jobs and provide an economic boost of over £3 million.
