Witness appeal after house burgled in Blandford

A woman in her 20's came back to find someone had searched through her home

A home has been broken in to in Blandford.

Officers investigating the burglary are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Entry was gained to the property in Elizabeth Road some time between around 8.40am and 9.30am.

The victim, a woman aged in her 20s, returned home to find the front door had been locked from the inside and her dog was barking. The offender is believed to have left through the rear door and over the garden fence.

A search of the premises had been carried out and the victim’s purse had been removed from a handbag, but there was no cash or cards left in there and nothing had been taken.

Police Constable James Prowse, of North Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this burglary and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to please come forward.
