Gillingham welcomes Home Bargains store
The branch is opening today (10th August) at Kingsmead Business Park
Gillingham has its own Home Bargains store from today (Saturday 10th August), following a ÂŁ4 million investment.
The chain's creating 44 jobs at their latest branch on Kingsmead Business Park.
Home Bargains has more than 600 stores across the UK.
Simon Carter, the new Gillingham store manager, said:
“I am thrilled to be opening a new store in Gillingham providing 44 new jobs and looking forward to serving the local and surrounding communities with great ranges and exceptional customer service for many years to come.”
Homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, fresh, chilled and frozen food are being stocked there.
The company's also marking the opening by donating ÂŁ2,000 to a local charity, the Gillingham Community and Leisure Trust (GCLT) towards their RiversMeet Active and RiversMeet Performance sites.
