Six year old child stuck up to their waist in mud rescued at West Bay
Fire crews and coastguard rescued the child with ladders and salvage sheets.
A six year child who was stuck in mud up to their waist was rescued by fire crews and the coastguard at West Beach, West Bay yesterday.
Firefighters from Bridport and a member of the coastguard trained in mud rescue, attended the incident. They reached and removed the child from the mud using ladders and salvage sheets.
Casualty care for the child was provided by the coastguard team until an ambulance crew arrived on the scene.
