The future of Sandworld in Weymouth is uncertain as the business owners arrived yesterday to find the locks had been changed.

They've been in business for 10 years creating wonderful sand sculptures near Lodmoor Country Park.

Operators have taken to social media to apologise and offer refunds to anyone who had booked to visit the attraction.

The nature of the dispute between Sandworld and it's landlords is still unknown.

A letter posted outside Sandworld says that LeisureRanch Limited have re-entered land at Lodmoor and as a consequence it has been secured.

It also warns that no one can lawfully enter the premises unless they have authorisation.

LeisureRanch Limited who own the building and operate a go kart business next door has not yet responded to a request for a comment.

The operators of Sandworld claim they are fully paid up on rent and the reason for the incident remains unclear to them.

If you've got tickets, you can go to the attraction's social media to find out what to do.
