Weymouth based charities and community groups can now put in requests to be considered by the Town Council.

They just need to state which car park(s) they would like to use, with applications accepted until Monday 20th February.

“It’s great to work in partnership again with Dorset Council to provide free parking to support key events that bring people into Weymouth to enjoy a day out.

“Last year, events including the beach motocross, Remembrance Sunday and the Christmas lights switch-on drew big crowds to our seaside town. So, if you would like to apply for free parking to support your event this year, complete our short online survey today.”

There's details for groups on the Weymouth Town Council website, or by emailing events@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk.

Applications will then be considered on March 1st.
