Sometime on Thursday night into Friday morning (29 - 30 Oct) flytippers tipped waste in the area around West Stafford just 2 miles outside of Dorchester.

Police belive it happened around 19:45hrs on Thursday evening and 07:30hrs on Friday morning.

The crooks dumped waste in two locations, one load dropped on a farmers land and the other in the middle of a public road, putting motorists and other road users in danger.

UNACCEPTABLE, UNSIGHTLY & COSTLY

PC Sebastian Haggett from Dorset Police posted on Facebook saying:

"This is unacceptable. Flytippers show no regard for both the environment, the safety of wildlife/animals and that of the rural community."

"Not only does this crime look unsightly in the beautiful Dorset countryside but it carries a financial cost to the victim. In this incident some local horse riders have reported almost having their horses standing on wood with nails in it, which were products of the dump."
