Flat Fire In Weymouth
One person taken to hospital
One person has been taken to hospital after a flat fire in Weymouth.
Three fire crews were called to the blaze in the property on Hereford Road yesterday morning. (30 August, 2020)
Station Manager Sean Blizzard, who attended the incident said:
"We believe this fire, which was contained to one room of the property, was caused by an unattended candle.
"There were working smoke alarms in the flat, without which this incident could have been far worse.
"The occupier was taken hospital by our ambulance service colleagues."
