A number of bus routes in Weymouth have been reduced.

The services are operated by First Wessex who have told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset its in response to government guidance.

The number 1, 2, 3, 8 and 10 services are running fewer busses while the current restrictions are in effect.

A spokesperson for First Wessex said:

"In line with the current demand for travel during the third lockdown we've temporarily revised timetables from Sunday 31 January 2021."

"The service level reductions reflects that during the current lockdown bus travel is strictly for essential journeys only."

"We envisage that service levels will be reinstated to normal levels when demand for travel increases following any future relaxation of coronavirus restrictions."
