Firefighters have been battling a fire at a derelict farm building in Dorset.

Crews from Bere Regis, Dorchester, Blandford, Poole and Wareham helped put out the blaze in Cheselbourne.

It started at around 3.40am on Thursday morning. (21st January)

A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"Due to the agricultural nature of the building and the surrounding area, several appliances were mobilised.

"On arrival crews found a derelict agricultural building well alight. They used 2 main lines, 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The electricity board also attended to make the incident safe."

There are no reports of anyone being injured and it's not yet clear how the fire started.
